Small Squares

We've had inquiries from folks looking for good, horse quality hay.  We know a "hay guy" that consistently provides high-quality horse hay and so we asked him if we could work with him to answer our client's hay needs.  He said, "Sure!"

So we're happy to announce that we now have first-cutting, high-quality, Pennsylvania-grown (no fescue*) Orchard Grass/Timothy and Orchard Grass/Alfalfa hay for sale.  With the wet spring we had, this hay is lush and horses love it!  These are typical small squares weighing between 40 to 50 pounds each.  The price includes delivery and stacking in your barn or hay storage area.

Round Bales

We are also looking for a reliable source for horse quality, Round bales (with no fescue*).  When we find one, we'll be selling those, too.  If you are interested, keep an eye on our site and we'll keep you posted!!

* Why no fescue?  Fescue Toxicosis!  It has been shown that feeding fescue to bred mares in the first three months and last three months of pregnancy can cause difficulty in getting and keeping the mare pregnant and in severe problems with partuition and foals.  There is treatment available, but the best course of action is to prevent it in the first place!  For more information, you can read up on it at the Cornell University website.
